Your Life is your Message

How dreams are important, but solely focusing on the fruits of your dreams will make you unhappy.

How often do you think: "My life would be so much better, if only my dreams came true?" When did it happen that reaching our goals became more important than living our life?

I still remember how as kids our dreams inspired us to play.

How as teenagers our dreams were stronger than our fears, encouraging us to leave home exploring the world.

How the first job, the first salary felt like the beginning of our dreams.

Do your dreams continue to be a source of inspiration or have they become reminders of past failures?

Have you started to believe that dreams are for fools, that letting go of your dream will help you find peace?

If I had the power I would summon a genie, ordering him to make your dreams come true. How long would your happiness last?

The belief that our dreams coming true is the only thing that matters is the reason for our struggle.

The sole focus on the fruits of our actions makes us forget that life is a journey.

Putting our goals first is like planning a trip around the world, hoping it to be over as quickly as possible.

Never stopping, always looking ahead, keeps us from enjoying the small and sweet things life has to offer.

Blowing up obstacles, hurting ourselves and others.

Is there a better way to travel on this journey towards our dreams?

Don't be afraid to to let your dreams sweep you of your feet, carrying you up into the sky. Remembering that it's about how your travel, not where you finally land or how fast you get there.

The way you respond to adverse weather conditions, your actions and thoughts will carry you towards or away from your dream destination.

Sacrificing who you are to get where you want to go will not help you find happiness.

Big dreams can come true if we let our heart guide our actions. This is what Ghandi meant when he said: "My life is my message."

Let your life be your message!

Take one step at a time, remembering that our actions define who we are. Enjoy the journey towards your dreams, the first bite of chocolate, the first kiss.

History books, glossy magazines and the stock exchange will remember you for the fruits of your actions.

Your partner, friends, family, coworkers, neighbours, strangers, pets, the world will appreciate and love your for how you act towards them. Providing endless support on the journey towards your dreams. Namaste.

People need meaning in life, the dream gives people that meaning. It is perhaps a hormone thing too, dopamine likes us to chase, but has been found to have little to do with rewarding the achievement of the goal. Artists I speak to say the art is the process of creating the product rather than the end product itself.

You put across your lessons beautifully in image.

    • Hi Alex,
I also believe that the process of creating is more important than the end product itself. I write my blog because I enjoy the creative struggle, putting my fuzzy thoughts in words and pictures. On the other hand receiving positive feedback from the blogging community, my family and friends is what keeps me going, what makes me take out my notebook to put down some ideas for a next post, even after a long day at work. I think that many people give up their dreams, because there is no one around giving them honest, constructive feedback.

Thank you so much for all the feedback and the great book suggestion you have given me over the last 1.5 years. You are helping to keep my dream alive!

You are welcome. A lot of effort has gone into your posts, and they are like a work of art with a message. You come across beautifully. I am sure you would be unable to do what you do unless you enjoyed the process.
